Department of Geosciences and Office of Research
The Department of Geosciences (http://www.isu.edu/geology/) and the Office of Research (http://www.isu.edu/research/) at ISU Boise extends ISU's research capabilities in remote sensing and geospatial analysis to southwest Idaho. For example, the Department of Geosciences Boise Center Aerospace Laboratory (BCAL) is currently conducting several federally funded remote sensing research projects that include multi-university and agency involvement. We have several students and a post-doctoral researcher working on remote sensing research projects ranging from hyperspectral image processing of invasive plants to high resolution topographic analysis of landslides. The Department of Geosciences also participates in a cooperative ISU-Boise State University M.S. degree program. Dr. Glenn provides a point of contact for professionals and students in the Boise area interested in these activities.
